Developing Custom Connectors for the Microsoft Power Platform

Learn about custom connectors and how you can take advantage of the connector platform to extend your data sources for Microsoft Flow, PowerApps, and Logic Apps. In this session, we will share Microsoft's roadmap and vision for the connector platform, and show real examples.

We will start with background on custom connectors, what they are, why you would build them, and how users interact with them.

From there we will go through:

  • Connecting a custom HTML form to a Flow HTTP POST connector
  • Building your own custom Yelp connector
  • Building a certified connector that includes both custom actions and triggers using web hooks

For the walk-through of how to create your own custom connector, we will be using the Yelp Fusion API as an example.  Full details of the walk-through are available at https://www.extranetusermanager.com/resources/articles/developing-custom-connectors-for-the-microsoft-power-platform.

For the certified connector example we'll be using our Extranet User Manager product connector.  We'll go through the steps involved so that you can repeat that process for your own systems.  Examples will include using Flow to customize the registration process of new users coming into a SharePoint Online Extranet.
